A passion project

From the beginning this was the meaning of a passion project for me, and continues to be that to this day.

It started with a relationship

with a previous client that blossomed into a partnership.

He had the idea

and I had the knowhow to create an interesting and emotional experience for the ideal audience - parents.

What used to be a basic and bland web app,

became a colorful and life filled new brand and mobile app. After being brought into the original project, I quickly suggested that we pivot to a mobile app and away from just a web app. The main reason for this is that all our media lives on our phones already, so it made sense in many ways.

We set out to create a unique take on memories

and how they're fluid and customizable to each and every person. Memories shouldn't just live fragmented lives in our minds, devices, and screens, but they should be brought together in a beautiful and interesting way. And they should be shared among family and friends to pass down a legacy from generation to generation, but only with who you want to share them with.

Screens and features:

Home screen

All your memories (MMRYs) in one place. The home screen houses MMRYs you've sent, received, and that are drafts/pending all laid out in an organized grid. Some of the features are filtering, sorting, and notifications.

Each MMRY tile displays a title, meta data for when that MMRY was sent or received (supports whole years, months, weeks, days, hours, and minutes), can display a "NEW" label when an unopened MMRY is added, and more options in the overflow menu for editing, deleting, and adding that MMRY to a trust account.

You're also able to create a new MMRY directly from the tab bar (on any screen where the tab bar is visible) by tapping the plus button and filling out the MMRY creation form.

Trust accounts:

Have a loved one, family member, or friend who isn't old enough yet to have their own account? Create a trust account for them and start adding MMRYs to it until they're ready to access it and take it over.
